This course is the first part of introductory-level Japanese. Students learn to communicate in authentic situations, using basic linguistic and socio-cultural skills. Students read and write hiragana, katakana, and approximately 60 kanji (i.e., Chinese characters).
COURSE DETAIL
This course is for students learning Japanese as a mother tongue, first language, or heritage language. By the end of this course, students are expected to read and write 1100 Kanji and vocabulary using those kanji.
Prerequisite: "Special Japanese Kanji 1" or equivalent.
COURSE DETAIL
This course is designed for students at the intermediate level to master oral communication and listening skills necessary for daily conversation. The course covers the speaking and listening skills appropriate for particular situations and social contexts.
