Another essential part of my experience was gaining confidence in leading classes. Leading classes, like any other skill, is one that develops with time and experience, and is not necessarily easy at the start. To eventually become confident and comfortable giving and leading classes, it is necessary to pass through a period in which one does not feel completely comfortable and is not necessarily used to such activities, at least not in the role of leading on one’s own. I feel satisfied that this experience is something that I have already completed or at least had some engagement in because it means that for my future endeavors in a similar situation I will feel more comfortable. For any future instances in which I am giving classes teaching or even speaking to groups of people in more informal circumstances the skills that I have learned from this internship will be very helpful. One specific example of this is how one uses their voice when giving classes. Being able to not only project your voice at a sufficient volume but also using a tone of voice that makes it so that students are more engaged in what you are saying is an essential skill when teaching. For this reason I think that I have greatly improved my ability as a teacher or instructor. This will be valuable in any teaching scenario, which I plan to use in my future.

I feel satisfied that this experience helped me feel more comfortable, and future instances of teaching, or even speaking to groups of people, will be easier because of the skills I have learned on this internship.
