Internships
Complement the business courses you will be taking abroad and build valuable intercultural communication skills with an internship. Barcelona is an economic center in Europe and working in a local organization will give you first-hand experience with Spanish business and work culture. Opportunities exist in a variety of areas including advertising, business administration, communications, hospitality and tourism, marketing, sales, and more.

Language
You can intern in English, although upper intermediate or higher Spanish language proficiency will offer more internship placement options.
Academics
You’ll take a course to guide your internship experience. To meet the course requirements, you may be required to participate in meetings, discussions, journaling, and a final project.

Arrangements
After enrolling in the internship course, you will submit a motivation letter and resume. The on-site internship coordinator will interview you to understand your goals, motivations, and experience. They will work to locate an internship placement that fits your academic and professional goals. Once matched, you will interview with the supervisor at the organization in Barcelona. After your placement is confirmed, you will sign a commitment letter.
In the first week of the program, you will attend a special orientation before starting your internship. On the first day of your placement, you will attend an introduction meeting with the on-site coordinator and your internship supervisor to discuss logistics as well as your schedule, tasks, and expectations.
