Housing

You can choose between a shared apartment with other UC students, a shared room in a student residence, or a homestay with an Italian family. Study center coordinators will arrange your housing before you arrive based on your preferences.

Apartment

Privately owned apartments are located in and around the center of Florence. Most of the apartments have shared bedrooms as well as shared spaces like a living room, bathroom, and kitchen.

Commute

Walking to the study center where classes are held is a great way to enjoy living as a local. The commute takes 30-45 minutes by foot. You can also take the bus.

Dorm

The student dorm is centrally located in the historical heart of Florence. You will be placed in a double or triple room, while limited singles are also available on a first come, first served basis. Shared bathrooms, kitchens, and common spaces will make for a comfortable stay.

Commute

Walking to the study center where classes are held is a great way to enjoy living as a local. The commute takes approximately 10 minutes on foot. 

Homestay

Homestays are located throughout the city, and your Italian host will have experience hosting exchange students. Communicating in Italian at home with your hosts will refine your language skills and help you integrate more quickly into the local culture.
