COURSE DETAIL
The course will provide a vision of the geological, biological, historical and pre-historic processes to understand the geography, natural and human history of the Atacama Desert. The course addresses the evolution of the landscape from a geological and climatic point of view, man's adaptation to his changing environment, natural resources, and their historical management and exploitation. The discussion of these topics is expected to address and generate an interdisciplinary view towards the construction of a sustainable relationship for the 21st century between society and the use of the natural resources available in the Atacama Desert.

This course offers a comprehensive overview of key questions that drive current discussions about the links between the brain, cognitive processes, and language while also examining language as a tool for expressing social cognition. Students will explore various topics within Psycholinguistics, focusing on language comprehension and production, and will analyze how language assists in interpreting cultural phenomena.

Students will consider hegemonic understandings of the body as essentially linked to histories of colonialism and power. They will investigate frameworks about the body proposed by minoritized groups, developed out of collective struggle and political movements, found in feminism and critical indigenous studies. Students will recognize the essential differences between these frameworks as well as how they intermingle and intersect.
COURSE DETAIL
The course focuses on learning analytical capacity and aesthetic sensitivity regarding musical interpretation, through the experience of systematically and regularly witnessing live concerts, on dates and places assigned by the course teachers. The classes address the expressive resources linked to the interpretation of music and listening modes, the process of assimilating a work, form, style and musical genre, among others.
