This course aims for students to understand the articulation between capitalism, colonialism and patriarchy based on the processes of women's struggles and resistance against racism in Chile. This approach implies challenging the European thinking on the categories of work and woman with the goal of decentering the Western idea of "humanity". The previous task requires having an epistemological vigilance at the time of researching women, particularly those belonging to stigmatized groups, such as sexual diversity, migrants, and the Mapuche people.

The course focus in expanding knowledge of vocabulary and grammar rules to be used with certain grade of naturality in the oral and written communication in social and academic contexts. Additionally, it aims to strengthen the capacity and fluency in interactions with native speakers in different contexts such as locals (Chileans) and in the Spanish speaking culture with the goal of further develop the intercultural competence.

This course analyzes the main pillars and political consequences of the world economy, through the study of key contemporary issues such as the World Trade Organization and Trade Policy, multinational corporations, regional trade agreements, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, the Latin American debt crisis, the financial crisis in East Asia, financial globalization, economic inequalities and global environmental policies.

This course presents the hypothesis of generational perspective, intersected with others such as class, gender, race, and territory,  as an alternative episteme for the sociological analysis of youth worlds and adult-centric societies. The social component is read as constituted by multiple opresions from the perspective of youth world vision.

Understand the fundamental elements of audiovisual language (image, sound and montage) through a solid conceptual and practical basis, applying a production methodology to generate stories and audiovisual products that communicate a point of view about reality.

Theoretical-practical course whose purpose is for students to identify the concepts and theories of the study of human personality considering their respective historical, cultural and epistemological contexts, based on the transmission of content in classes and evaluation activities in which they must propose synthesis and original applications of the contents reviewed in the course.

This course intends to study in an interrelated way the development of Latin American Novel and its adaptations into Latin American and international cinema. It comprises, furthermore, perspectives on the reception of publics, the historical conjunctures, the Nation and State discourses, and critical and democratic counter-discourses.

This course aims for students to achieve a general knowledge of cinema produced in Latin America and Chile, also generate a critical and informed discussion about the main characteristics, milestones and audiovisual innovations of the region's cinema, understanding the socio-historical and geographical contexts in which they produce their works. 

The student will learn about the sources of international law, treaties, custom, unilateral acts, general principles of international law, doctrine, and jurisprudence. In the same way, students will understand about concepts related to subjects of international law, jurisdiction and immunities. Additionally, they will identify concepts such as territorial domain, the legal regime of Maritime Spaces, Airspace, Outer space and Antartica. Finally, students will understand the concept of international responsibility.
