Mathematical logic is a fundation of mathematics and computer science, and foundation course for the students of mathematics and computer science. The content of this course includes propositional logic, first-order (predicate) logic and basic mathematical systems.

This course aims to explore the components of dissertations and academic papers in economics, guiding students in transitioning from coursework to independent paper writing. Through lectures and discussions, we will cover the basic requirements and examine specific examples of research papers to understand the general rules and best practices for writing. Active participation in on-site discussions is strongly encouraged. Students are encouraged to identify topics of interest and draft several chapters or paragraphs for their potential dissertations.

This course further enables students to understand the relationship between the media and social change, so as to use of knowledge of communication and journalism in a better way. 

This course is a common language course for all students of Peking University, with the aim of satisfying students' demand for learning Korean language and culture. The course mainly covers the pronunciation, basic vocabulary and grammar of Korean as well as knowledge of Korean society, culture and political economy.

This course focuses on the application of principles of actuarial science in survival models and life insurance products for undergraduate students. The purpose of this course is to introduce some typical life insurance products and the calculation of the premium and reserve of some life insurance products. This course alse teaches operational models in the life insurance company. The non-life insurance section of this course focuses on principles and presentation, which will provide students a preliminary understanding of non-life insurance companies.

This course is for international students who already have a certain level of Chinese proficiency but whose grasp of grammar knowledge is relatively vague and confusing. It will systematically sort out the main grammatical key points and difficulties in Chinese, so that students can better master Chinese grammar and use Chinese more accurately; at the same time, it will also serve as a guide for future students. This is a professional courses to lay a certain theoretical foundation of grammar.

This course aims to guide students to understand the core concepts, principles, and technologies of artificial intelligence, experience the cutting-edge applications of artificial intelligence technology in various fields, and cultivate students' thinking and practice of artificial intelligence technology. Through course learning, students can initially grasp the basic knowledge, core technologies, and algorithms of artificial intelligence, understand the current development direction of artificial intelligence technology, and use AI tools and thinking to solve practical problems in their own fields.

This course combines political philosophy and critical thinking and debate in English. It contains six modules: justice, order, prosperity, market, polity and civilization.

Students will learn about classical theories and the development of political philosophy, how to cultivate critical thinking, argumentative strategies and academic presentation ability and to develop incidental and implicit English acquisition in the exploration of academic subjects.

New media empowerment game in the public space of private and public interests, affects the development of advertising, public relations and media industry.  To understand the meaning and mechanism of public expression, communication from the public narrative and public opinion are needed. It also needs to conduct in-depth study of power relations and power of emotion expression under the environment of Internet.

This course teaches ancient Chinese classic texts, common vocabulary, common grammar and ancient Chinese knowledge.
