This course integrates theory with practice, balancing technical skills and creative thinking, and is anchored in a problem-finding and problem-solving approach. Instructional methods include lectures, case-based research and reflection, hands-on production workshops, and interactive discussions. Core topics cover podcast recording and production, short-form video shooting and editing, the evolution of online content amid technological change, and the application of emerging technologies in the audiovisual field.

This course aims to provide students with a foundational understanding of common brain disorders-such as depression, brain tumors, and Alzheimer’s disease-covering their current status, epidemiology, and underlying pathogenesis. Students will also become familiar with mainstream diagnostic and treatment approaches, while enhancing their awareness of preventive strategies, thereby fostering a more resilient and proactive mindset in facing life.

The fin de siecle (end of the century) is an important phenomenon in European literature and culture at the end of the 19th century. The works of well-known writers and thinkers such as Wilde, Baudelaire, Schopenhauer, Nietzsche, and psychologist Freud boldly explore the dark side of human nature and reflect on the decline of civilization, all of which present the cultural characteristics of the fin de siècle. This literature later spread to East Asia with various translated works and artistic creations, arousing enthusiastic responses in Japan and China in the 20th century. Through imitation, dialectics and transformation in the literary and art circles, complex cross-cultural issues emerged.  

This course introduces works in modern Chinese literature that are deeply influenced by European "fin de siècle" literature and culture. It explores poetry, novels, dramas, and reviews spanning the entire twentieth century. It adopts the research method of comparative literature; compares and carefully reads Chinese and foreign works; sorts out transnational literary context and ideological origins, and explores their rich implications, to gain a deep understanding of "fin de siècle" literature and culture and its influence. 

This course investigates material properties from the perspective of condensed matter physics. We will cover the mechanical, thermal, electrical, magnetic and optical properties of materials, learn to apply qualitative and quantitative analysis and understand these properties based on the interaction between atoms and molecules, crystalline structure, electronic and magnetic structures and morphology. Through the course of study, we will know the most dominant factors affecting material properties and know how to estimate material properties in a certain range.

This course provides an introductory look at the study of psychopathology. It emphasizes the description, theory, and intervention of maladaptive behavior patterns and relates multicultural and diversity aspects to the major concepts of psychopathology and psychological treatments.

This course primarily focuses on the workflow protocols and standards of field archaeology, including archaeological investigation, excavation, artifact processing and analysis, and report compilation. It also covers the archaeological theories, methodologies, and techniques integrated throughout these processes.

This course provides opportunities to improve in their basketball skills; establish basic concepts of team offense and defense, applying them in games. It also aims to cultivate students' interest in watching basketball games as well as the habit of regularly playing basketball.

The course will explore Shanghai’s modern social and cultural development from the perspective of China-West cultural exchange. It will cover Shanghai's geography, the arrival of Jesuits, the opening of the port, language interactions, the press and publishing industry, education, modern life, and business development. 

This course will introduce the historical development of Chinese culture and its changes from ancient times to the present, important common sense (involving various aspects such as thoughts, systems, and life), and the impact and changes of the world on Chinese culture.

This course is structured around the organizational content of general mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities. Beginning with the institutional environment of M&A, it systematically elaborates on the strategic choices, procedural steps, valuation modeling, transaction structure design, and financing strategies involved in M&A, all supported by specific case studies. Additionally, the course provides a comprehensive introduction to restructuring activities such as corporate alliances, exit and restructuring strategies, and the dissolution of failing enterprises, as well as cross-border M&A activities. Through this approach, the course aims to thoroughly and systematically present and teach the processes, tools, and solutions related to acquisitions, mergers, and corporate restructuring.
