Physical and mental disability social work is the new course field of the social work. With the deepening understanding of the global society towards disabilities, the support and construction of the services have been affected too. The course topics include: how to dissipate the work and cooperate among national responsibility, family responsibility, and social responsibility; how to construct the support system and deliver the services to support the disabled people and for the diversity of their house life; what contributes to the difference between the legally defined disabled people and the actual situation of their disabilities; the power shift between the oriented and individual oriented disabilities; how to pave the way from ability to power; how to transform from service to construction of a friendly environment; how demands are decided, by whom they are decided, and the strategies they used from needing to satisfy the needs. Assessment: participation/discussion (30%), midterm reports (30%), final exam (30%), attendance (10%).

This course aims to use archaeological finds and burial materials to explore various aspects of culture, religion, rituals, and politics in ancient China. The course will introduce the burial materials and contents of different periods through case studies, teach the research methods of burial art, how to organize and analyze the excavated materials, restore the space and environment of burial, and conduct research on cultural history, religious history, and social history.

The teaching purpose of this course is to let students understand the current mobile Internet ecology, train new ways of thinking, use comprehensive audio-visual media technology and communication methods, and let students master new ideas and new skills from different communication levels, adapt to Internet content quickly Iterative development needs.
The teaching arrangement of this course is a combination of theory and practice, technology and creativity, relying on finding and solving problems. In terms of teaching form, it is divided into four parts: course teaching, research and review, skill practice, and communication and discussion. The main content includes the development of Internet content under technological iteration, the technology and application of new media development, and the production of short video.

Chinese Movie Review is a humanities elective course that is adapted to the concept of general education. The course covers the development of Chinese-language films (Mainland, Taiwan, and Hong Kong) for more than 100 years. Through the observation and discussion of classic movies, the course aims to enhances understanding of Chinese movies, the appreciation of movies, how to write film reviews. The course also introduces more classic Chinese films.

This course is for students who have taken Intermediate III of the Chinese Language Course for International Students or those who have taken Chinese for at least 700 hrs. By the end of the course students are capable of using written language to communicate effectively in formal writing and of understanding public announcements, news, and other broadcasts. In addition to the text lessons, this course also brings up topics each class that help students develop proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Through the course, students are able to use appropriate Chinese to carry on discussions, and read newspapers and magazines to further understand Taiwanese culture and language.

This course introduces the historical evolution of ancient Chinese philosophy, the representative philosophical schools in each period, and their representative propositions and views. It covers the history and development of ancient Chinese philosophy from the perspective of global culture.

This course presents the children's evolution concept to lend understandings of children's rights, welfare policy and development. Also, the course raises the awareness of concerns about children welfare from the existing children welfare service status and policy. Topics in the course include: content on child welfare services, from concept policy; current welfare service system; child care services; child protection services; services to high-risk families; single-parent family and child services; child foster care and adoption services; establishment of children's institutions; services to children with special care and early intervention services. The course uses lectures and related instructional videos, current affairs cases and group discussions. Social workers are invited to share their own experiences during lectures to present actual facts of children cognitive issues. Students are placed into groups and involved in community implementation to gain real participation experiences.
