This course offers a study of digital business and the emergence of the digital economy. It explores the use of technology to generate new business, the impact of digital business models on existing market sectors, as well as the growth of new digital business sectors. NOTE: This course is the same as BUS 138 but taught in the UC3M International School.

This course explores topics in international accounting such as: the regulatory framework; accounting policies, estimates, and errors; fair value measurement; borrowing costs; government grants; intangible assets; financial reporting in hyperinflationary economies; foreign exchange rates; earnings per share. Pre-requisites: Introduction to Accounting; Financial Accounting.

This course focuses on data science analysis, for use in both research and the labor market, using the latest techniques applied to machine learning. It discusses parallel programming, hybrid programming, and distributed programming especially for big data. 

This course provides a study of the tools and concepts needed to analyze the online marketing environment and design a competitive marketing strategy. Topics covered include: market research, measurement and analytics; consumer behavior; search engine optimization; social network communication and content marketing; search engine marketing; E-commerce; marketing plan and the digital context. NOTE: This course is the same as BUS 124 but taught in the UC3M International School.

This course explores the theory of automata and formal languages. Topics include: automata theory; finite automata; languages and formal grammars; regular languages; pushdown automata; Turing machine; compilers. Pre-requisites: Programming; Programming Techniques.

This course offers a study of strategies and tools for drafting and presenting any type of text or oral speech in the academic environment.

This course offers an introduction to Python programming following the structured and object-oriented paradigms. Topics include: flow diagrams; data, operators, input, and output; flow control--conditionals and loops; simple data structures; functions; object oriented programming; algorithms, recursion, and computational complexity.

This course offers an introduction to critical thinking and problem-solving. Topics include: theoretical foundations of thinking; the human brain and decision-making; models of thinking; phases of the analysis process and the creative process; parallels and divergences; creative and critical problem-solving; proactivity and innovation.

This course offers an introduction to the field of political science. Topics include: politics and political power; forms of political organization; democracies and dictatorships; state structures; parliaments and political representation; government systems; culture and political socialization; actors in the political system; political and electoral behavior; public policies; challenges of politics in today's world.   

This course discusses the main instruments of management accounting. Topics include: income statement types; CVP analysis; pricing decisions; budgets; job and process costing; ABC and department costing. Pre-requisites: Introduction to Accounting.
