Course Description
The Student Entrepreneurial Empowerment Development (SEED) develops self-reliance, innovativeness, and entrepreneurship. It expands employment choices so graduates consider launching and operating their own businesses. This course discusses the basic characteristics of successful entrepreneurs, the risks and rewards of entrepreneurship and small business ownership, the importance of networking, the need to conduct careful business research and to develop business and marketing plans, organizations that support small business, relevant legislation including incentives applicable to small business, and the requirements of agencies responsible for supporting and financing small businesses.

Course Description
This course offers an overview of the immune system and characteristics of selected diseases/syndromes. It offers a study of the following: endocrine organs and systems relevant to the selected disease states; mechanisms of hormones and receptors relevant to the selected disease states; modulation of hormone levels in healthy and disease states; regulators and errors contributing to the disease state; clinical presentation and progression of the selected diseases/symptoms; linkage of the symptoms with system errors. This course also discusses diagnostic tools, drugs, and therapies, disease management, and applications of biochemical techniques used in biomedical research and forensic sciences.

It examines historical and contemporary aspects of Caribbean society including legal, political, and economic systems as well as insights of Caribbean culture and associated social problems.
