The course critically reviews the prominent contemporary debates over the concepts of the essence and protection of human rights. It looks at the theory, practical determinations, and limitations of these debates.

This course develops linguistic and communicative abilities to allow students to express themselves clearly. Emphasis is placed on oral and written expression and comprehension. The course also integrates topics in Chilean culture. * Units reduced to correspond with UC quarter units for comparable course work.

The course addresses the foundations and passive systems that enable natural light in indoor spaces through the study of scale models and various types of constructive devices. Topics include: concepts and foundations of natural light; various uses of light; lighting design; developing detailed proposals.
