This class investigates psychosocial trauma as it pertains to individuals as well as groups. Beginning with the history of psychosocial trauma and its origins as a psychological concept, the class discusses how trauma has been treated in the past and compares it to modern notions of trauma, such as post-traumatic stress disorder. These concepts are then applied to historical instances with a particular emphasis on the effects of the dictatorship in Chile.

This entrepreneurship workshop exposes students to real world situations to gain skills and knowledge necessary to analyze a company and develop a business plan. Skills discussed and practice include: market segmentation, competition analysis, marketing, sales strategies, leadership abilities, teamwork, and effective communication.

This course explores the practice of photojournalism and discusses the purposes of photojournalism in particular and its importance within journalism as a whole. A part of the course is dedicated to a practical workshop in which students learn the technical and communicational aspects of photography, and to construct creative stories with the photographic image as a fundamental support.
