This course offers a study of the genesis and development of the ideas that revolutionized Physics within the historical context of the 20th century. Topics include: Einstein's special theory of relativity; general relativity; quantum revolution physics of the universe; elementary particles; quantum physics and technology.

This course provides a study of human behavior in a workplace environment at the level of the individual, the group, and the organization as a whole. It examines decision-making models, the concept of motivation, theories on leadership, conflict and negotiation, organizational culture, and management of change.

This course offers an introduction to thermodynamics and heat transfer. Topics include: mass energy and entropy balance for closed and open systems; equipment under steady state-- nozzles, diffusers, pumps, compressors, turbines, hope and closed heat exchangers, and valves; Carnot cycle; Rankine cycle; Brayton cycle; internal combustion engines; inverse Carnot cycle; introduction to heat transfer-- Fourier's law, Newton's law, Stefan-Boltzmann's law; one-dimensional steady state conduction with and without heat generation; transient conduction; fins-- formulation and performance analysis.

This course surveys international visual art and architecture of the Enlightenment from the 17th through the 19th centuries, including specific Spanish examples. It compares movements within this period, examining Romanticism alongside Realism in art or historicism versus the modern city in architecture.
