Course Description
This course provides a study of the sociological framework of rural societies and corresponding challenges, with focus on case studies of Latin America and Mexico. Topics covered include: social classes and structures, the production and exploitation of peasant work in the 21st century; socio-economic and political importance of rural territories; social problems between the agrarian classes; differences between capitalist and peasant agriculture; relationship between the State and rural society.
