This course uses lectures, discussions, demonstrations and visual materials to explain gender theories, discuss gender equality issues, and practice feminist methodology. At the same time, it uses the latitude of social gender to analyze problems, solve personal puzzles and social problems, and promote social equality. Topics include gender overview, gender in visual culture, gender differences and gender equality, beauty and power, love and marriage, family and work balance, ways to construct gender culture.

Through this course, students will be able to learn about important Chinese cultural relics and related cultural relics, in the meantime, understand and appreciate Chinese history and traditional culture related to cultural relics, which will help to improve their appreciation, broaden their horizen and promote cultural exchange.

This course develops communicative ability in Chinese by presenting language structures, functions and related cultural knowledge as well as by training listening, speaking, reading and writing skills through communicative tasks. In this course, the focus of which is learning pronunciation and basic grammars, students are exposed to various basic sentence patterns and functions by engaging in simple dialogues and conversations. The learning process not only increases the students’ command of linguistic structures and functions, but also gives them a sense of accomplishment in communicative abilities at each stage of the learning process.

This course provides an introduction to writing in the discipline of international relations. It explores how to read arguments, how to construct arguments, the various forms of reasoning and evidence, structuring an essay, and critical thinking. Assignments provide a broad introduction to the study of international politics, and focus on significant themes and debates in the arena of contemporary international affairs.

This course provides a broad and balanced picture of China's even growing presence and influence in the developing world, before and since the launch of its Belt & Road Initiative (BRI) in 2013. This course examines readings about China in the developing world from Chinese and international sources and perspectives that shed light on the diversity and complexity of this topic. A closely related objective of the course is to encourage students to think critically about the strengths and lessons of China's development model and experience that other developing countries should assess and learn in pursuing their own development paths.

The course provides a complete picture of museum science, and covers various themes related to current domestic and foreign museum circles. Course topics include the philosophy and practice of the international museum circle, including museum history, mission and purpose, etc.; the status quo, problems and prospects of the development of Chinese museum circles; planning and production of museum exhibitions; planning and implementation of museum education activities; development and operation of museum cultural products and services; and museum construction and management. The course includes museum visits.

This course provides an introduction to mental health and clinical psychology. Students learn the theories, techniques, and applications of clinical psychology. Additionally, through case studies, students learn how to conduct clinical evaluations according to scientific standards, and develop intervention plans, in order to quickly improve the client's core problems. The course focuses on the teaching and practice of four major areas of clinical psychology: clinical psychological assessment, clinical psychological intervention, social services and regional assistance, and clinical psychological research. Research in clinical psychology is a required part of the course.
