Course Description

Understand the basic laws of the interaction process between "learning" and "teaching"; master the psychology of students and teachers, master the general laws of students' physical and mental development, and the general laws of teachers' growth; be able to memorize and understand the principles of learning The nature, process and basic conditions of general learning, and master the general rules of individual learning. Master the basic principles of instructional design.

To enable learners to better understand the psychology of students and teachers, love teaching, care about the overall development of students, and invest more emotions in teaching.
To be able to consciously apply the educational psychology theory and knowledge learned in the practice of international Chinese education. Specifically: to be able to use the knowledge of educational psychology to explain actual teaching activities and designed educational teaching activities.

Educational psychology is a science that studies the basic laws of the interaction between learning and teaching through scientific methods. The content of educational psychology courses is organized around the process of interaction between learning and teaching, including learning psychology, teaching psychology, student psychology and teacher psychology. Four major parts. After taking this course, students should be able to understand and master the relevant theories of educational psychology, and should be able to consciously apply what they have learned to international Chinese education or other related teaching practices.

Course Description

Teaching Objectives: Through the study of these contents, students will understand the basic concepts of multimedia technology, master the fundamental theories of multimedia technology, and the usage of commonly used multimedia tools. They will also gain knowledge on multimedia software development and multimedia production, laying a solid foundation for future research and development in the field of multimedia. Students will also learn about the current status and practical demands of multimedia technology, professional ethical requirements for multimedia practitioners, and ethical influences.

 

Overview: This course provides a comprehensive introduction to multimedia technology, including its definition and key characteristics, acquisition and processing of audio-video information, multimedia data compression and encoding techniques, and multimedia network communication technology.

Course Description

The primary objective of the course is to learn how to define and develop a business opportunity for a venture a novel and innovative idea. Design discipline including human centered approach, design thinking methodology and lean startup theory and many case studies of the business model innovation will be introduced to support, to create and nurture each business idea. 

 

The word “design” has been a common keyword for many industries to identify and solve their problems. The positive side of this trend is that everyone becomes aware of the value of design. However, design eventually occupies a very limited area in startup culture, mainly for aesthetics, communication process, and user experience. While the startup eco system understands that “design” can be a big part of creating company’s value, yet, it is still hidden in the mysterious box which only design professionals can understand or access. Design Driven Innovation and Entrepreneurship (DDIE) is a course for non-design background students who are willing to integrate the knowledge between Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Design. The course offers a mix of hands-on exercises in a collaborative setting, as well as dedication to a group project. Throughout the course, you will be coached about the set-up and execution of your group project. During the course students pay attention to the different parts and dimensions of a business: services, products, customer value, delivery processes, revenue models, and interfaces with customers, branding message, customer experiences and much more. This course will offer lectures and hands-on practices.

Course Description

Course Objective

1.         Have a basic understanding of quantitative instrumental analysis that involves electromagnetic radiation, spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, electrochemistry, and chromatography.

2.         Be familiar with modern methods for the analyses of chemical substances in a variety of matrices, and the interpretation of data obtained from such analyses. 

3.         Be able to do calculations associated with the quantitative instrumental analyses.

4.         Be able to draw conclusions based on analyses and calculations.

Instrumentation course will introduce the basis of electromagnetic radiation, Mass Spectra as well as chromatography. Students in this course will understand the theories, methodology, and structure of the related instruments.

This course will use “Principles of Instrumental Analysis” as the major reference book, combined with knowledge of up to date modern instruments (from department lab as well as the newest literature). Student will have the elemental capability to solve practical problems by using various instruments.
