Whether animals of different species have consciousness, concepts, representation, communication, and cultural abilities is not only an open question, but also closely related to people's daily curiosity and animal ethical practices. Through the study of this course, students are expected to master the methodology of philosophy of science and achieve a reflective balance between the transcendental thinking of philosophy of mind and the empirical evidence of cognitive science.

The course provides an overview of human resources and human resource management. Topics include development, organization, orientation, recruitment, performance management, training, salary management, communication, incentives, and conflicts.

This course introduces the role of western media in foreign policymaking, and the relationship between media and foreign policymaking under the Chinese political system. The first part of the course covers basic theory and concepts of media, politics, and foreign policy. The second part of the course includes case studies on media and foreign policy formulation.

This course covers the basic principles and methods of intellectual property law. Topics include China's legal system of intellectual property; systems of patent, trademark, copyright, and the context of Internet plus the intellectual property rights of new territory; creation, management, application, and protection; and building a platform under the support of intellectual property framework system.

This course examines the policy, theory, and practice of financial management. Topics include the financial decision-making process in fund raising; using funds, consuming funds, recovering funds and other capital movements; financial relations; methods and principles of financial investment and decisions; and theories of financial management.

Beginning in 1978, economic reforms guiding China from a planned economy toward a market-oriented one have promoted the GDP to grow at an over 8% annually. Today, China has become the 2nd largest economy in the world. This course covers the historical background of this transition process and some post-reform topics, such as one child policy, hukou system, and environmental challenges. The course first focuses on the economic behavior and economic lives of Chinese households, then moves to firm’s behaviors. Finally, it discusses macroeconomic policies and financial markets.

This course examines the political evolution of human politics from ancient times to the present; basic concepts, theories and methods for analyzing the relationship between politics and society; the reality of Chinese society.

This course covers the connection between tourism and Chinese landscape culture, Chinese garden art, Chinese food culture, religious culture, folk culture, etc. 

The course examines the foundation of infinite sets, the pigeon cage principle, repeatable permutations and combinations, graph theory concepts, Euler and Hamiltonian graphs, plane graphs , character coloring, tree, group, ring, domain, etc., and related literature for these knowledge points.

This course introduces Chinese dietetic culture, traditional Chinese medicine and medicated diet in its background, and guides students to understand the concept and practice of traditional Chinese medicine. Students examine this practice for health preservation, so as to establish a correct and healthy diet and life concept, to explore and identify different health theories and viewpoints, to lay a professional foundation for students’ healthy diet lifestyle, and to pass on and carry forward the splendid Chinese diet and medicinal diet culture. The course looks at the similar origins of medicine and food. It introduces the Chinese traditional culture embodied in daily diet activities. This course introduces the ups and downs of Yin and Yang in the natural world, and through understanding the big universe in the natural world to understand the small universe of the human body, to appreciate the charm of the idea of harmony between heaven and man, and to guide students to inherit and carry forward Chinese traditional culture.
