This course focuses on reading works by contemporary Latin American writers, all of which are literary texts from the 20th century. The main genres are short stories, very short stories, and some modernist poem selections. Writers include Ruben Dario, Jose Marti, Enrique Anderson Imbert, Marco Denevi, Pablo Neruda, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Julio Cortazar, Jorge Luis Borges, etc.  

In this course, students observe, understand, and analyze linguistic phenomena specific to Spanish, in the phonetic and phonological domain.

From the perspective of the humanities, this course explores some of the main authors who have reflected on the impact of human life on the planet and the current global environmental crisis.

This course offers a study of the main intellectual traditions and paradigms of International Relations from the interwar era to the first half of the Cold War, including idealism, realism, the English school, neorealism, and institutional liberalism, among others. 

This course explores the historical evolution of the aerospace industry and technologies, highlighting the development of various elements of aircraft and the impact on human life.

This course discusses the historical-anthropological and geographic-cultural processes present in the creation of Chilean society from the pre-Hispanic era to today.

This course offers a study of Spanish history from the late fifteenth to the late eighteenth century including political processes, social relations, and cultural productions of modernity.

Topics in this Astronomy and Geodesy course include: figure and gravity field of the earth; geometric geodesy; spatial geodesy; positional astronomy; astronomical reference systems; diurnal motion and Earth's rotation; planetary motion; time scales; stellar, galactic, and extragalactic astronomy; large-scale structure of the universe.

This course examines the main theories and aspects of technological change and innovation in an economic context. Topics include: modern (evolutionary) theory of technological change and innovation systems, innovation, growth, and competitiveness; diffusion of innovation, international trade, and multinational companies.
