This course provides general instruction on several different forms of dancing with partners. These dances include but are not limited to the Cha Cha, Waltz, and Rumba. Students learn the proper dance techniques of steps, physical form, presentation and dance etiquette. Students also learn ballroom techniques.

Taekwondo is a Korean martial art and official Olympic sport. The main feature of Taekwondo is unarmed fighting skills using dynamic footwork and kicks to defeat opponents. It is regarded not only as a system of self-defense and physical exercise but also as a mental discipline. The course goals include practicing Taekwondo as a Korean national martial sport for self-defense, physical fitness and discipline; practicing diverse kicking techniques, basic and Poomsaes (forms); to improve physical fitness such as flexibility, agility, and power; and to study theories of taekwondo, such as principles of techniques, history, and philosophy of taekwondo.

Taekyun is a Korean traditional martial art based on Korean philosophy and movement. The course teaches Korean unique fighting techniques andKorean traditional culture and movements.

This course introduces students to tennis. It covers the basic skills of the sport, including forehand, backhand, serve, volley, overhead, and lob. Students also learn the standard rules and policies for tennis matches.

This is a physical education class instructing students in Qigong, a mindful moving meditation practice focused on healing aspects of cultivating one's "qi." This class meets once a week. Half of our time is dedicated to lecture and half is dedicated to practice. Attendance is mandatory. Basic Chinese understanding would be helpful as the class is conducted completely in Chinese.

Lecture of fundamental theories and practice of Scuba Diving skills. There are two options: Option A) Obtain 1 credit (class lecture and pool practice, 5m pool practice), and Option B) Obtain 1 credit+ Scuba Diver certificate (class lecture and pool practice, 5m pool practice, 3 days of open water training). Topics include equipment selection and repairing, underwater physics, underwater physiology, SEABAG, underwater environment, diving plan, dive table, diving safety, defensive diving, emergency ascending. Pool practices include skin dive, equipment setting, snorkel clearing, mask clearing, neutral bouyancy, ascending, decending, equipment and exchange underwater.
Prerequisite: The following swim abilities: 50m swim with any style 20m underwater swim without breathing.
