Housing
For the majority of the program, you will live with a Dominican family in a charming neighborhood of Santiago. The goal of the homestay is to help you immerse more fully into Dominican culture and help you improve your Spanish skills. During the field study portion of the program, you will live with a second host family near the clinic.
Homestay
You’ll be placed in a single-family house, apartment, or condominium within walking distance of the university. Typical of the Dominican people, your hosts will be friendly and welcoming. Most have been hosting students for many years and enjoy sharing meals, playing dominoes, talking sports, and listening to merengue music with their guests.
