Housing
With support and advice from the UC study center in Paris, you will arrange your housing on this program. This offers the freedom to choose the neighborhood and style that suits you best. For instance, you might stay in a private Parisian home, share an apartment with others, live in a dormitory, or rent a studio apartment. Most students arrange their housing before they arrive, but it’s relatively easy to get temporary housing for the first few weeks if you need extra time to look for the best housing. You can also reach out to the local study center to review the lease before you sign it.
All Housing Options
The diversity of neighborhoods in Paris makes choosing where to live an exciting adventure. Finding your own housing, comparing features, costs, and amenities, and discovering your favorite district, or arrondissement, is all part of the study abroad experience. Some Parisian homes lack the familiar conveniences of home (they have drying racks instead of electric clothes dryers) and apartments in Paris are notoriously small. Be mindful that during transportation strikes, it can be difficult to get to class if you’re living too far outside the city.
