The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) student housing blocks are composed of three sets of high-rise buildings. They are conveniently adjacent to the main campus, where classrooms, campus eateries, and university sports facilities are located. Housing is extremely competitive. For the best chance of securing a room, apply as soon as the application system opens. Students who don't receive university housing will need to find their own off-campus accommodations in nearby neighborhoods.
On-campus housing consists of single and double rooms. A typical room is furnished with a bed, bookshelves, closet, desk, and chair for each student. Additional amenities include a ceiling fan, air conditioning, and Internet access (LAN and Wi-Fi). There are communal shower and bathroom facilities on each floor. Residents of the building also share kitchen facilities, a laundry room, recreational rooms, and study space.

Singapore has a well-developed public transport system that includes buses and the MRT, Singapore's subway system. Almost all buses are equipped with ramps for wheelchairs and all MRT stations have lifts. Within the campus, every level is accessible by lift and there are ramps at different locations.
Students who live on campus can walk to class in 10-15 minutes. With an MRT station right at SUTD's doorstep, students living off campus should have no problem commuting to class.
