Course Description

Educational psychology is an advanced freshman/sophomore-level course in the field of education. It is the study of classroom learning and teaching. This course provides an introduction to the concepts and theories of educational psychology and explains how they can be applied to actual situations. Topics include characteristics of learners, principles of learning, and principles of teaching. This course aims to construct students’ general knowledge and skills on learning and teaching activities, and to demonstrate the practical educational implications derived from each theory. It is expected that students will be able to become efficient learners in their future study.

Course Description

The course introduces a key concepts of project management innovation management and product development and supports students to participate effectively in the creation and realization of business opportunities. Combining business and technology aspects in one program, students will focus on finding new business solutions using applicable innovative technologies. Students will be able to gain knowledge and skills related to project management, innovation management and product development, and, additionally, gain practical experience through a product development project. Through class discussions and course activities students will be able to gain additional international experience and exposure, as well as improve their English language proficiency. During the course variety of teaching methods will be used: from basic explanations of terms and concepts, exercises, working on case studies, individual work in finding the application of the presented knowledge and team work on the project. Beyond mere description of theoretical lectures, the emphasis will be on practical work, where students will plan and manage a project.

Course Description

This undergraduate lecture course is designed to survey major topics of the international relations of the People’s Republic of China with a specific focus on Chinese perspective. With a brief introduction of major theoretical perspective on foreign policy studies, the main body of the course is organized around special topics of Chinese foreign policies, including the Chinese historical legacy and its impact on China’s foreign policy, nationalism and public opinion in contemporary China, mechanism of China’s foreign-policy decision-making, leaders and their styles, China’s attitudes towards global governance, the economic dimension of China’s interactions with the outside world, public diplomacy and China’s soft power and China’s policy towards peripheral countries, (in particular, the Northeast Asia and the South China Sea). This course pays attention to the application of different international relations theories to the problems under study. The course aims to acquaint students with knowledge of China’s involvement in world affairs in historical and contemporary perspectives and train them with an analytical understanding of the dynamics of China’s foreign policy.

Course Description
This course focuses on Chinese people's thinking about the eternal contradictions between the limited resources and human's unlimited desires and its solution since Xia, Shang, and Zhou, including economic thought of pre-Qin Confucius, Mencius, Xunzi, Mozi, Laozi, Zhuangzi, Shangyang, Han Feizi and the business school, economic thought of the eastern han dynasty and the western han dynasty, economic thought of Wei, Jin and the Southern and Northern dynasty, economic thought of Sui and Tang dynasties, economic thought of Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties and so on. There are three purposes. The first is to understand the change of national economic thought, the second is to deepen understanding of the real economic problems, and the third is to understand the same nature of the development of human society by comparison with the Western economic thought. Course Description

This course is designed to introduce students to the main currents of Chinese ancient spiritual traditions, tracing into literary and philosophical texts the inner experience that they carry and interpret. Pondering over a selection of relevant excerpts, the students will navigate throughout Taoist, Confucian, Legist and early Buddhist traditions. Students will be able to understand and compare the structure of the spiritual world as suggested by various schools, mystics and authors, and to approach the journeys that have been undertaken into the inner world. The goal of the course is also to provide students with skills in comparative textural and cultural studies, by drawing their attention to the lived experience that lies behind major texts of Chinese culture.

Course Description

This course is a general arts course for all students. The course is based on the achievements of historical documents, audio and video, creation and other fields in the music art discipline, combined with the weekly explanation and performance of excellent music works at home and abroad, highlighting the stage teaching practice activities with on-site effects, expanding the resonance of elegant music in the campus, and improving the musical literacy of students of all majors. Course Description

Group social work is an important method among the three major practice methods of social work. This course mainly introduces the basic principles of group social work, the theoretical basis of group work, group types, elements of group systems, group dynamics, group social work process and the evaluation of group social work. Course Description

This course is concerned with building of the guarantee system about firm’s long-term survival. It aims at training the students’ capabilities to grasp the overall nature of business, to analyse environment, mission, and competence of a firm, to craft and to execute strategy of uniqueness, trade-offs, and synergy. The ways of thinking, analytical skills and practice of art, discussed in this course can be widely applicable to all types of for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. As a result of this course, students will be able to: 1) enhance ability to think the corporate strategy as a whole 2) learn the framework of strategic thinking 3) understand the essence of successful strategy crafting, implementing and executing in practice.

 

This course is concerned with the fundamental objective, "to live, to live well, and to live longer," of the (for profit or not-for-profit) business organization. It deals with identifying and analyzing past and current strategies, with formulating new ones and with implementing them through the organization evolving and operating in the global economic environment. It focuses on business unit strategy, corporate strategy (including choice of business evolution path and pace), co-opetition interactive strategy to solve the problems about "how" to get "what" done through "whom" and by what the firms can set-up, survive and die.
