This course provides a comprehensive survey of English literature from its origins through the late eighteenth century. It provides a critical analysis of some of the classical works of English poetry and prose from the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the Enlightenment, paying close attention to historical context and literary theory. 

This course examines the forms, channels, and strategies behind the distribution of propaganda. It reviews the history of propaganda from antiquity, through the Middle Ages, the invention of mechanized printing, and to the modern state. Particular emphasis is placed on propaganda in modern wartime. 

This course offers a study of the fundamentals of pathophysiology necessary to understand and interpret the mechanisms underlying alterations in different functional systems that lead to the development of disease. It examines the basic principles of pharmacology and the therapeutic tools currently available for treating these pathophysiological alterations. 

Topics in this statistics for psychology course include: basic concepts of measurement and types of variables; data summarization and visualization; measures of central tendency, variability, and skewness; measures of association; probability theory; probability distributions of some continuous and discrete random variables; sampling.

This course studies the principles of language variation in society with an emphasis on sociolinguistic variation in Spanish. Topics covered include: origins and evolution of sociolinguistics; language, dialects, sociolects; linguistic and social variables; multilingualism, code change, pidgin and creole languages; sociolinguistic research methodology.

This course explores the origin of quantum physics within the philosophical, historical, scientific, and socio-political framework of the 20th century. It discusses the interpretative problems of quantum mechanics, the possible solutions within its philosophical framework, and the consequences of the quantum revolution for the logic of the living and our conception of the world.

Topics in this Educational Research Methods course include: introduction to statistics; types of variables and data characteristics; descriptive analysis for the study of social and educational phenomena; aspects of the logic of statistical interference applied to educational research.

Topics in this Astronomy and Geodesy course include: figure and gravity field of the earth; geometric geodesy; spatial geodesy; positional astronomy; astronomical reference systems; diurnal motion and Earth's rotation; planetary motion; time scales; stellar, galactic, and extragalactic astronomy; large-scale structure of the universe.

This course examines the main theories and aspects of technological change and innovation in an economic context. Topics include: modern (evolutionary) theory of technological change and innovation systems, innovation, growth, and competitiveness; diffusion of innovation, international trade, and multinational companies.
