This course provides a study of cultural anthropology: the anthropological definition of culture, approaches to the study of society from a cultural perspective, and ethnographic methods for cultural studies. Other topics covered include: conventions of social order, rituals, and myths; schools of contemporary anthropology from a cultural perspective; relationship between ethnomethodology and cultural studies; anthropological analysis of micro-rituals as a cultural analysis of daily life; case studies as a method for cultural studies.

This course examines major issues related to new topics in Spanish media. It is divided into two parts. Part one focuses on the representation of Spain through both traditional and new media. The second part explores how fiction, whether on television, cinema, or social media, is capable of describing in detail the reality of Spain.

This course offers a study of thermodynamics. Topics include: zeroth law; concept of temperature; first law-- internal energy and heat; second law-- entropy; thermodynamic potentials, stability, and equilibrium; open systems, phase changes, and critical points; third law.

This course focuses on scientific methods that marketers can use to obtain valid and reliable information on consumer behavior in order to both develop better products and services, as well as effectively promote them. It covers the fundamental issues of conducting scientific research in the area of customer behavior, including: factorial analysis; drawing perceptual maps; cluster analysis; discriminant analysis; joint analysis; in-depth interviews; group dynamics; commercial observation techniques.
