This course applies the theoretical concepts, methods, and approaches of sociology to the study of topics in health and wellness of the population. It analyzes the consequences of a lack of health and wellness at individual and social levels and includes perspectives from disciplines such as social policies, anthropology of health, and sociology of the elderly.

This course examines the basic elements of public international law. Special attention is given to the historical and dynamic characteristics of the juridical order, with a particular focus on the Spanish legal system.

This course offers an introduction to videogame design. Topics include: the process-- from concept to implementation; specification and creation of documentation; mechanics; interfaces; interactive storytelling; controls; balance; 2D game design; 3D game design; design of space and location of resources; controls and navigation; multiplayer game design.

This course offers a study of the components and response mechanisms of the immune system in physiological situations. It discusses clinical analysis in order to distinguish between health and disease states, including in hematology.

This course is designed for UCEAP students at the elementary (A1) level to improve, consolidate, and expand grammatical knowledge of the Spanish language. Class meetings are supplemented with practical experiences where students visit emblematic locations in Madrid to practice Spanish communication in real time.

The course provides a study of architecture and urbanism, focusing on primary theories, authors and works from 1750 to the present. It examines the history of production in architecture and urbanism, paying close attention to the diversity of elements common to human creativity, as well as the social use of art. Topics covered include: neoclassicism and romanticism in 19th century architecture; architectural rationalism in the second half of the 19th century; urban transformation and conservation of heritage; origins and strategies of the Modern Movement through the 1930s; postmodernism and new poetics.
