Course Description

By teaching the basic concepts, basic theories and practical applications of fluid mechanics, students will be able to enter flow-related professional studies, scientific research or engineering design to lay a solid foundation in fluid mechanics.

This course focuses on training students' comprehensive and detailed observation and computational analysis skills of flow phenomena, and cultivates students' scientific thinking methods to grasp the key points from the complex fluid movements and then extract fluid mechanics models from the basic principles. Actively guide students to pay attention to the understanding of physical concepts and the nature of flow, and learn from theory and practice through the study of engineering examples.

This course takes a comparative perspective to look into early Chinese and Daoist philosophy. It starts with textual reading, follows with comparative ideas, including freedom and fate, illness and death, disabilities and social exclusion, war and peace, tolerance and toleration, language and social practices, etc. It focuses on group discussions, and research methodology.

Course Description

This course aims to cultivate students' self-awareness, leadership development, and communication skills based on the fundamental theories and principles of leadership and management communication. The course consists of self-assessment, practical training workshops, case study, and experiments. Students will learn: leadership style and effective leaders, leading groups and organization, communication and effective methods. Students will acquire skills such as: goal-oriented leadership communication, evaluation of personality traits, cognitive abilities, and decision styles and assessment of communication style and effective communication. And students will be able to enhance leadership and group productivity, improve effective communication, and capture potential requirements to design products and services.

This course serves as an introductory course to high-level language programming, specifically designed for students with no prior experience. It can also act as a foundational course for other information-related subjects. Course Description

Chinese political economy covers both major theoretical and practical perspectives of exploring Chinese political economy. This course will focus on the political and economic reforms in China since the beginning of the reform and opening-up. It will utilize theoretical perspectives from political science, economics and sociology to systematically analyze the key theoretical and practical issues of China's reform. These issues include the party-state relationship, state capacity, cadre selection and promotion, fiscal and taxation reforms, central-local relations, digital political economy, and government responsiveness. The course aims to clarify the core logic and operational mechanisms of China's reform,and clarify the key advantages of Chinese political economy institutions. The design, content and format of this course are aimed optimally to benefit students in both knowledge accumulation and practical orientation.

Course Description

This course introduce the concepts, analyses, and activities that comprise marketing management, and provides practice in assessing and solving marketing problems. The corse is also a foundation for advanced electives in marketing as well as other business/social science disciplines. The course explores the theory and applications of marketing concept through a mix of cases, discussions, lectures, guest speakers, individual assignments, and group projects. Materials are drawn from a variety of sources and settings including services, consumer and business-to-business products. The first part of the course focus on situation analysis, market opportunity identification, and formulating marketing strategy. It introduces the key constructs such as value of products, consumers and brands, customer segmentation, and product positioning. The second part of the course examines how to use these ideas to make specific decisions about the marketing mix(4PS: product, price, promotion, and place). The course provides the skills needed to design a marketing strategy and its implementation plan.
