Housing
You can live in any type of housing in an area that best suits your interests, lifestyle, and budget. The International Office provides resources to help you make your own housing arrangements. The International Office has a limited list of homestay options you can apply to. If you prefer an apartment, you’ll be given a list of potential options and make the arrangements yourself. Spend time beforehand learning about the city and figuring out which neighborhoods may be a good fit for your lifestyle. The UCEAP Mexico Study Center staff can also assist you on your search. Keep in mind that commuting is common and it's not unusual to have a 20-50 minute commute. The city and the surrounding areas are well connected via public transportation. Familiarize yourself with the metro map to check out transportation routes from your potential housing to class, so you can make sure you have a fairly direct route.
