This course examines environmental history worldwide. Through selected topics, it explores how human society and technology have shaped the environment through centuries, emphasizing the major changes of the past hundred years. As part of the methodology, Barbados will be examined as a microcosm of the global concern with human impact in the environment.

The course enables students to develop their skills of analysis in an audiovisual, rather than purely literary, context, as well as deepening understanding of the Hispanic world through engagement with its cinematic production.

It explores a range of psychosocial forces that influence classroom dynamics. The content will include learning theories, motivation, theories of human development, personality theories, instructional design, and assessment as well as key concepts related to the sociological influences on education.

This course examines the theory, practice, and study of human spirituality. Human spirituality will be explored using a transpersonal psychological lens. The course will focus on cross-cultural conceptualizations of the Divine, spiritual enlightenment techniques, exceptional human experiences and how spiritual development can change over one’s lifespan.

This course examines the work of the director in film and digital media, focusing on the development of aesthetic values, cinematic languages and advanced interpretative cinematographic skills. It focuses on directorial decision-making, visual storytelling, plot development, scene continuity, dramatic interpretation and use of narrative structures. It also explores the role of the director as a team leader in pre-production, production and post-production.

This course examines we human beings use on-line technology to interact with others, as well as how cognitions and behaviors are affected by this technology. It covers topics ranging from on-line relationships and how people construct their digital identities, to gaming and artificial intelligence as well as the psychological applications of virtual and augmented reality to our lives. It also aims to facilitate understanding of the field of cyberpsychology. In particular, the implications that on-line technologies can have for the subjective self and interactions with others; in addition to the wide array of practical applications of Internet-based technologies to our daily lives
