This course offers a practical study of sculpture using earth materials. It discusses traditional and innovative sculpture techniques using mud. This course also discusses carving, construction, and structural systems using stone, wood, iron, and natural fibers.

This course examines the major contemporary theories and the central concepts relevant to the study of social stratification in advanced industrial societies, with particular attention to class inequalities. It presents some of the key findings from the comparative literature on social stratification and shows how theoretical debates can be tested against empirical data. This course offers a comprehensive introduction to key debates in the field of social stratification, including debates on meritocracy, the declining significance of social class, the causes of income polarization, and the determinants of gender and ethnic stratification in contemporary societies.

The course discusses the main theoretical aspects and empirical findings on learning and memory processes in humans. It examines human memory and learning from a behavioral, cognitive, and neuroscientific perspective with a special emphasis on current research trends and topics.
