The course establishes a foundation for understanding and analyzing information and information systems in organizations. It provides an overview of technical and organizational aspects of decision support systems (DSS), including individual, group, and organizational DSS as well as executive information systems (EIS). Management of DSS and EIS within the end-user computing environment are also discussed. The course covers more recent technologies, including Data Warehouse / Data Mining, and OLAP technologies. The course is design-oriented and emphasizes conceptual foundations of DSS and EIS, but DSS software reviews, demonstrations, laboratory lessons, and case examples are also included.

This interdisciplinary course addresses sustainability, climate change, and how to combine economic development with a healthy environment. The course explores greening the economy and the sustainable development goals on four levels – individual, business, city, and nation, and looks at the relationships between these levels. Practical examples of the complexities and solutions across each level are discussed. A particular focus is placed on examples from Scandinavia, but the course also features examples from Europe and around the world, which taken together provide a practical starting point for learning about greening the economy and the relationship to sustainable development goals.

This course examines in depth the extensive structural and economic changes which have characterized Sweden since the mid-18th century and the concept of "The Swedish Model". This takes the form of a chronological analysis of the rapid transition from a typical poor agrarian society to an industrial welfare state. The course considers the following questions: Which were the driving forces behind the development? Why did they occur so late? Which were the production factors so favorable to Sweden?

The module includes a literature review but can also consist of a short empirical-oriented project. This course is part of PSYCHOLOGY: COGNITIVE NEUROSCIENCE (30 ECTS).
