The course focuses on visual art works from the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and China. The works are from art museums and art exhibitions. The course mainly studies paintings, but also includes sculptures, photography, video, experimental ink painting, conceptual art, pop art, installation art and performance art. The discussion around the works involves art design, folk art, advertising, movies, graffiti, comics, fashion and more.

This course introduces basic knowledge in child development, especially the essential influence of the environment of family to child development.
