This oral skills course corresponds to levels A2-B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference. It focuses on improving communicative competition and expanding lexical knowledge and discursive strategies that allow students to interact successfully in Spanish daily life.

This oral skills course corresponds to levels A1-A2.1 of the Common European Framework of Reference. It focuses on lexical knowledge and discursive strategies that allow students to interact in certain everyday situations. 

This course studies and discusses different aspects of modern science using some of the magical short stories of the Argentinian writer Jorge Luis Borges. It uses Borges' work as a vehicle for discussing how our views of the world have been affected by the advances made by science in the last 100 years. In particular, the course focuses on the foundations of disciplines such as cosmology, quantum theory, statistical physics, neuroscience, and computing, as well as mathematical concepts such as combinatorics and the idea of infinity, and other notions such as the concept of time.

The course critically examines the construction of the 'development' concept, tracing its ties to capitalism and its roots in colonialism and mercantilism. It questions the outcomes, focusing on the reproduction of social inequalities and environmental consequences globally, nationally, and locally. Divided into parts, it covers critical development theories, explores development as a "globalization project," and reviews systematic alternatives and critiques of the sustainable project. Key concepts are illustrated through case studies and an Approach Based on Projects (ABP).

This course examines the interactions between aesthetics, art theory, and art law. It discusses legal notions of originality, authorship, plagiarism, copying, and transformation. Contemporary art case studies include: Marina Abramović, Robert Mapplethorpe, Richard Prince, and Joseph Beuys. 

This course explores the influence of advertising discourse and the effects these messages have on society. Topics include: advertising language, audience and impact of advertising strategies, memory, persuasion, attitudes towards advertising, and advertising campaigns in audiovisual format.

This course explores the concept of circular economy and sustainable development through the prism of private business including three primary subcategories: sustainable public purchases, sustainable corporate conduct under renewed corporate law rules, and sustainable consumption and support of environmental legislation at the international level. It discusses the newest developments in EU law for each subcategory. 

This course offers a study of Spanish politics. It examines the nature and functioning of the Spanish democratic system from late 1970s to today. Other topics include: the Second Republic, Civil War, Franco dictatorship, and Spanish transition to democracy.

This course examines population health and well-being consequences of demographic changes from an interdisciplinary approach, including sociological, demographic, economic, and political science, particularly in developed countries.
