In Mexico City, you'll stay in a prearranged apartment and will be able to arrange your own accommodations in Sacramento. The program coordinator arranges your Mexico apartment based on a housing questionnaire you complete before departure. The UC Sacramento Center will provide resources for finding housing in the Sacramento or Davis areas.

Apartments in Mexico City are usually located in the beautiful residential neighborhood of Coyoacán close to the university and Casa de California, UC’s study center. Usually, the apartments are in older two- or three-story buildings.

Commute
In Mexico City, your commute is about a 10-minute walk or a 25-minute bus ride to classes. Most students take the microbus for 2.50 pesos or more (depending on the distance) and some take the metro for 5 pesos.

For your term in Sacramento, you have a number of living options including UCCS housing (limited loft spaces near the upper east side), commuting from Davis, living with friends or relatives, or independent apartments.

In Sacramento, your commute depends on where you find an apartment. The Sacramento regional public transportation is easy to use and offers a few apps for routes and schedules. You may also commute with your own vehicle to classes and your internship.
