Housing
During the four-week session in Delhi, you will stay in a room with two other students at Hotel Samrat, a four-star property. During the two weeks of fieldwork, you will be traveling and sharing a room with other student participants in prearranged hotels/guest houses. After the fieldwork trip, you will return to the Hotel Samrat briefly for the last two nights of the program.
Hotel - first four weeks
Your rooms are conveniently located near the venue for your classes. The rooms have tea/coffee makers and satellite television. The campus is in the diplomatic quarter of New Delhi, Chanakyapuri, where the international embassies (including the US Embassy) are also located. Room assignments are allocated after you arrive in New Delhi. Depending on availability, you may share a room with one or two other students of the same gender.

Commute
For the first four weeks of the program, your commute is a short walk from your hotel.
Hotel - final two weeks
During the service learning portion of your program, you will travel in a group and live in prearranged hotels/guest houses with one or two other students. The hotel/guest house will be located in a safe and secure location. Local program staff will accompany you and be available to answer questions to ensure you have support, including language translation where needed. After your service learning work has ended, you will return to the hotel in New Delhi to wrap up your program.

Commute
A typical daily commute is less than 30 minutes, but varies depending on the location of the hotel and your service location. If your service location is close to the hotel, you can walk each day accompanied by staff or security. Otherwise, air-conditioned transportation will be arranged to get you from the hotel to your service site. You will share transportation with other students on your program who are working at or near the same location.
