This course introduces the origin and evolution of traditional puppet theatre; the front stage and use of props in traditional puppet theatre; the musical notation and gong and drum scriptures in the backstage of traditional puppet theatre; the introduction and application of traditional puppet theatre sets, and the appreciation of traditional puppet theatre script.

Course Description

This course helps the students to 

1) Understand financial statements and master statement analysis methods
2) Understand various valuation models and their application in different scenarios

3) Master M&A-related knowledge, including: M&A concept, M&A transaction process, transaction structure, financing strategy, application of valuation models in M&A, and the impact of consolidated financial statements

4) Master the valuation of listed companies

 

This course consists of three parts. The first part will systematically review financial statements and form the basis of financial statement analysis. Based on this, the course will introduce various valuation methods.
The second part of the course will focus on mergers and acquisitions. Mergers and acquisitions reflect the allocation of resources in the capital market, have strategic significance for enterprises, and are complex in transactions. The course will introduce the basic concepts, motivations and economic consequences of mergers and acquisitions, the main processes involved, transaction structure, valuation, financing methods, etc. This part will be based on the valuation methods of the first part, combined with the characteristics of unlisted companies.
The third part will discuss the valuation of listed companies and provide reference for investors' resource allocation decisions. The course aims to establish the connection between financial information and capital market, and cultivate students' ability to integrate and apply basic knowledge of finance and accounting to investment decision-making.

Course Description

This course is focused on the contemporary metropolis, Taipei, Taiwan and its concentration of power and wealth, goods, symbols, ideas, and information. The city is full of conflict, tension and oppression and this course focuses on understanding these issues and discussing potential solutions to these dilemmas. This course will explore Taipei urban life composed of different culture, class, ethnic, racial, age and gender groups that are gathered in this adjacent space in close contact. The social relations they link, and the activities that are juxtaposed in the common space, may lead to conflicts, resulting in the chances of life of certain people, being excluded, and causing social injustice. The city is a pool of differences and this course objective is aimed to understand how to coordinate diversity and differences, to achieve social justice that is a major challenge of urban life. The main axis of this course, that is, in the face of external environmental changes, as well as the internal conflict pressure of urban life, is how to connect the difference between the crowd, so that different people have the opportunity to pursue their beautiful life in the city vision.

Course Description

Architectural art is the epitome and crystallization of society, history, science and technology, ideology, and culture. Through in-depth reading of brilliant classic architectural works, we travel the history, stroll through time and space, wander through thoughts, and explore the aesthetic height of vision and spirit. At the same time, students are guided to grasp the aesthetic methods of architectural space art, learn to appreciate the unique artistic style and cultural connotation of architecture in different periods, and further explore the internal mechanism and regularity of architectural beauty. Cultivate a comprehensive vision, as well as learn from one another, independent aesthetic analysis ability.

Architectural art is different from painting, sculpture and other art categories. It not only involves external modeling issues, but more importantly lies in the artistic quality and cultural value of the internal space defined by the shape. Space is the protagonist of architecture, and understanding inner and outside space is a key issue in understanding architecture. This course is mainly based on the perspective of the space of architectures to think about and evaluate architecture, and to select classic cases, history and history in connection with the era background, political economy, ideology, science and technology, space concepts, artistic trends, aesthetic styles, etc. of the different stages of Western social development; then to form a general understanding, with both the span of historical time and space and the breadth of architectural types.
