Course Description
Hydrology is a multidisciplinary subject that deals with the occurrence, circulation, storage, and distribution of surface and groundwater on the earth. Because of the complex nature of the hydrologic cycle and its relation to climatic patterns, soil types, topography, geomorphology, and other factors, the boundary between hydrology and other earth sciences (i.e. meteorology, geology) is sometimes not distinct. Change in the distribution, circulation, or temperature of the earth’s waters can have far-reaching effects. Changes can be caused by human activities.
